Wichita Falls officers Daniel Wilson and Douglas Gulley were called to a McDonald’s on August 26, 2025 after a manager reported 19-year-old Victoria Lang had been in the restroom too long, assuming she was homeless. Lang had gone in to freshen up after her dorm room became unavailable. Body cam footage shows Wilson and Gulley carrying Lang out of the restaurant and forcing her to the ground outside, with Wilson putting his hand on her neck while removing her bag. The city called the actions unreasonable, unnecessary, and excessive. Wilson was fired and indicted in May 2026 on two counts of official oppression; Gulley resigned. Lang’s own charges of interfering with public duties and resisting arrest were dropped.
